HOW DO COMMERCIAL HVAC SYSTEMS WORK?

Every HVAC system has basic components in common, although there’s many ways to implement and optimize them. When evaluating a HVAC system, keep in mind these elements that contribute to performance. We follow the standard permitting process with all of our work. Our services are up to code and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. City Inspectors are brought in for a short 15-minute inspection on a later date.

COMMERCIAL HVAC SYSTEMS

Commercial structures can benefit from a number of interconnected systems that provide heating and cooling to individual floors or other areas. Some solutions you may see in a large-scale commercial HVAC system include:

  • Heat Pumps: Extracts heat from air or water for heating – like a refrigerator in reverse. In a water source heat pump, a pipe carries water through the structure to supply the heat pump.
  • Roof Top Units: These units are found on the roof or ground and duct the conditioned air into the space. They’re very common in commercial HVAC applications in Florida.
  • Chillers: These generate cool water distributed to air cooling coils via piping systems.
  • Heaters: These come in two types – common hot air furnaces that burn fuel to heat the air, and radiant heaters that use invisible infrared radiation to heat objects directly.

Commercial service requires a different level of expertise than servicing residential heating and home cooling systems. The best course of action for installation and maintenance depends on the setting and the unique demands of your business.
